Offering Small suggestions that help bring Larger Concepts to Life…

Many will remember the Steamers Coffee shop that was previously tucked away behind the Bear’s Paw Lounge in Fairmont Hot Springs Resort – It has since been replaced by their new Coffee Shop right beside the Main Lodge Entrance – It left behind a bright empty space that was an obvious place for guests to have a meal and a drink while enjoying the views.
This smaller space could provide a more intimate, or private dining space that complements the existing Antlers Restaurant, Large Function Rooms, and even the Bears Paw Lounge.
The only challenge was – It didn’t have a liquor licence. The other challenge the Resort faced was catering for families with kids arriving later at night, looking for meals and a drinks for the adults. (After 10 pm the main restaurants are closed, and BC regulations do not allow minors in the Lounge area).
We were able to come up with a licensing solution that would include the space under the existing Main Lodge Restaurant Licence, allowing minors to be present; while Food and Beverage service is provided by the staff of the Bear’s Paw next door – This week our solution was approved by LCRB.
Look out for a new option for Dining at the Main Lodge coming soon – The space also will be available for private bookings, by smaller groups who do not need a full sized event room, or the large formal Dining Room.
If you have a licensing challenge for your business, please give us a call – Providing options is a big part of what we do….
