Approval Secured for Rural Liquor Store Licence Relocation, Windermere, BC

Offering big congratulations to Kerry Ellingboe, his family, and all his staff who successfully re located their business from the Old Windermere Family Pantry to their new location fronting on to Hwy 93/ 95 in Windermere BC. The new location is now open and operating as ‘Windermere General Store’ .

We are delighted to have been a part of this project by securing approval from the Government to relocate their Rural Liquor Store (RLRS) liquor licence to their new location – We believe this is the first time this has been done in BC for this relatively new licence type, as these licences are normally intended to service the location for which they were originally approved

More importantly the Windermere Community now has a much larger General Store with groceries, baked goods, fuel and liquor on their door step with much better parking and access – It is wonderful to see the old building that once housed the General Store restored, and back to it’s former use again; and a Petro-Can on the southbound lane of the Highway.

Wishing very success to all involved!
